Katie Guerin joined City Kids in December 2019. She is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising and communications program to support City Kids’ mission and help to guide the organization’s strategic direction. Katie is an experienced nonprofit development and communications specialist. She has spent over a decade working with nonprofits in the areas of health, outdoor recreation, historic preservation, and conservation. Before joining City Kids, Katie worked for national nonprofit, Rails-to-Trails Conservancy (RTC) for seven years where she was responsible for securing major corporate, foundation and individual gifts, developing programs, planning and executing organization-wide priorities and events, and spearheading key strategic initiatives. Katie has a Master’s in Public Administration from American University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations from the University of South Carolina Honors College. She is an enthusiastic Gamecock football fan, bike commuter, and aspiring improv star. Katie, her husband Hunter, and son June love spending time outdoors, traveling and cooking and entertaining family and friends.
