Sam is the JET Program Associate, which means she supports the JETs directly through post-high school graduation planning/imagining and by helping to build and facilitate fun, helpful, and engaging programming for the JETs. Sam joined City Kids in the summer of 2021 as seasonal staff and continued to work as a summer staff member for three summers, as a counselor and then later as a lead staff, until transitioning into the JET Program Associate position this September (2023). Sam graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a B.A. in English and minors in Spanish and Women, Gender, Sexuality Studies. Sam is passionate about contributing to inclusive educational settings that foster joy and growth, writing, supporting youth development, and increasing accessibility in outdoor spaces—which makes City Kids one of her favorite communities to be a part of!
