City Kids’ Strategic Planning Journey

Thanks to all our donors and community members who shared their voices in our spring strategic survey! Between April and June, we heard from more than 200 stakeholders—alumni, parents, youth, staff, donors, board members, and partners—whose insights are helping shape our 2026–2031 vision. You confirmed our strengths in outdoor adventures, leadership training, and long-term engagement and shared enthusiasm for investing more deeply in alumni programs, family engagement, and career pathways. As we continue this strategic planning process, we remain grateful for the incredible community that makes City Kids possible. Your voices, support, and partnership are guiding the way forward as we build an even brighter future for youth development through outdoor education. The City Kids 2025-2030 Strategic Plan is scheduled to be released in early 2026. We look forward to sharing our plans to take City Kids through its next chapter– in DC, in Jackson, and beyond!
