City Kids Hit the Slopes

Our Winter/Spring program season kicked off on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Whitetail Ski Resort in Mercersburg, PA. In this cross-program level activity, over 20 Leadership (9th grade)  and JET (10th-12th grade) participants spent the day snow tubing. We’ve participated in ski/snowboarding trips at the resort in the past, but it was our first time snow tubing at the site.

Students enjoyed reconnecting with each other after a one month programming break and brought positivity and creativity to the experience. Our JETs continued to mentor and support our younger Leadership participants as they found new ways to sled down the tracks.

JETs did a great job of ensuring that everyone was included in all activities and were also great about engaging with others guests at the resort. Our Leadership participants continued to learn new skills as they prepare to become JETs at the end of summer camp in Jackson, WY. It was a wonderful way to begin programming in 2020!
